Been Travelling

I have been Travelling in Asia - Given the time difference and travel schedule, I will update my blog in segments this week. I have spent a few days on a remote island in the Pacific, stopped in on a number of different cities, and am now in Singapore. I love the energy in Asia. When I look at Singapore, I am hard pressed to find any city in North America that can come close to its modern infrastructure, it's drive and ambition, and it's potential. All this in a city of 5 Million spread accross approx 23 km by 45 km of land mass.

In comparison, I look at the drive and ambition of the same generation of people I see in North America and the European Countries I have visited recently and I can't help but wonder...how does it regain its mojo?

Don't get me wrong. I love living in Vancouver. But if you haven't visited the Asian countries recently, you may want to take a look at what's coming.

There is no stopping you now Paulo. Once you have seen the potential in Asia there is no looking back. I felt the same way when I went to China. We truly are a 'little fishing village on the edge of the ocean here in Vancouver (as one of my friends likes to say)

I think I saw a video of your hotel on Flipboard where people were parachuting off the top of the hotel while other were watching from the infinity pool!

Just got back from the Chicago Midwinter Convention with my team of 'Gallon Gems'. Wonderful city but again, nothing like Asia. Thank you for keeping us in touch with the world and helping us keep our heads out of the sand.

Wise words Leslie. I agree. The question is more about how complacent we are becoming in North America vs. the rest of the world.

Affter all, history tends to repeat itself...think Romans.
